Korpudalur Hostel in Iceland
Korpudalur Kirkjuból is located by Önundarfjördur close to Isafjörd on nortwest coast of Iceland. Wonderful hiking trails around, boat trips, sight seeing trips, birds watching, kayaking, boat sailing and sea angling. Organized trips around the westfjörds and nearby mountain terrain. Location only 15-20 minutes drive from Isafjordur.
The Korpudalur Hostel in Korpudalur is in a nice old farmhouse which has been renovated into a Hostel. The Korpudalur Hostel in Iceland is located innermost in Önundarfjördur surrounded by high mountains, 17 km from Isafjördur and 12 km from Flateyri. Around the Hostel there are many possibilities for hiking, climbing and angling in the wild nature. A 15 km mountain hiking trail lies through Korpudalur and Alftafjardarheidi, an old traditional route. For birdwatchers, thousands of seabirds, sparrows, ducks and even eagles can be seen. At Isafjördur and Flateyri you can find activities such as swimming, hot pots, kayaking and golf. Scheduled boat trips on Isafjardardjup - to Vigur and Hornstrandir - can also be attempted. Well defined hiking trails are all over the area and there are vast opportunities for bird watching. You can also go Sea angling on a good day, there are plenty of places to enjoy the North Westfjords while travelling the Westfjords either on foot or by a car.
