The farm Nes in Reykholtsdalur was established in 1937. It is located  in the middle of the valley between the river Reykjadalsá and highway 518, with a view to Reykholt, the glaciers, and the mountains to the east.

We can provide information in English and Danish about the nature, history and life in the area.

Our guesthouse opened in 2009, a nine-hole golf course, Reykholtsdalsvöllur, in 2008. The    Clubhouse includes a restaurant with seats for up to 60 guests.

Reykholtsdalsvöllur is the home course for the local golf club „Golf Club Skrifla“.

In the neighborhood visitors may find several interesting places for sightseeing, as well as historic spots, hot springs and  bird-life along the river, waterfalls, lava caves, and more. 

Three generations have lived on the farm Nes; first with mixed farming, and later dairying until 2006.  The grassland is good, so the fields are used for haymaking.
